The Fretworks is the brain-child of avid musician and guitar-fettler Matt Parker.

Started full-time in 2018, we aim to provide two high-end services dealing with our passions; guitars and basses.

Firstly, we try and provide interesting and unique instruments you’re unlikely to see on the high street. Providing a level of assistance simply unavailable to large businesses, we offer friendly support and advice in an intimate environment without the background noise associated with bigger guitar shops. If you want to come and try any of our instruments, we operate on an appointment basis ensuring that you’ve got the time to really try the instrument without being hurried by staff or pushy sales persons.

Secondly, we also offer a Guitar & Bass teching service! Very competitively priced and available to come to you if you can’t get to us with a fully mobile operation*, we can transform the way your instrument plays, sounds & feels. No job is too small, from restringing to a full fret dress we’re more than happy to help.
